The Happy Hound provides the highest standard of care by giving a professional, reliable honest service that abides by the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Registered Pet Sitters (NARPS UK)
The Happy Hound will remain a member of the National Association of Registered Pet Sitters (NARPS). A membership certificate can be provided on request.
Behaviour
- Any behavioural issues and whether your dog is intact, neutered or castrated must be disclosed during the initial consultation.
- The Happy Hound reserves the right to refuse any dog who becomes aggressive or dangerous to myself, other dogs or members of the public.
- The Happy Hound cannot accept bitches in heat on group walks, however alternative lead walking can be arranged.
Insurance and Security
- The Happy Hound is fully insured for liability and legal expenses. This also includes the costs associated with loss of keys.
- The Happy Hound will provide a valid CRB certificate to all clients where access to a property is required in the absence of the owner.
- The Happy Hound will always respect and have strict confidentiality for their clients and their properties.
Health and Safety
- The Happy Hound requires all medical records and medical issues to be disclosed during initial consultation. (medical records can be obtained from your vet)
- The Happy Hound requires all dogs to be micro-chipped and have ID tags.
- Emergency contact details for yourself and your vets must be disclosed during initial consultation.
- The Happy Hound will walk your dog on a lead unless we have your written permission to exercise them off lead, and will only be walked in secure locations.
- The Happy Hound will not walk any more than 6 dogs at one time.
Payment
- Full payment is required weekly for dog walking and at drop off for daycare and boarders.
- Payment can be made in cash or electronic bank transfer.
Cancellations
- The Happy Hound reserves the right to charge the full fee for cancellations less than 48 hours before.
